The freemium model

Fascinating interview with Chris Anderson (author of The Long Tail and Editor-in-Chief of Wired magazine) about the freemium model and the concept of 'free'. What is the freemium model? In simple terms it's the delivery of Internet services that are free to the user because the marginal costs of manufacturing and distribution are zero, or close to it.
